Twenty minutes, about your campus.

No pitch deck. We start with what you are accountable for, show how the program would run at an institution like yours, and tell you plainly whether it fits.

The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is the nation's largest leadership honor society, and an accredited one — recognized by Cognia, with credit recommendations from ACE and NCCRS. Credit recommendations are not the same as credit; acceptance varies by institution.

What we cover

The four things worth twenty minutes

01
Your goals, first
We start with what you are accountable for this year — retention, engagement, career outcomes, or a specific population you are trying to reach.
02
How the program would actually run on your campus
The member journey, what your advisor does week to week, and how the chapter operates without adding to your staff’s workload.
03
What the outcomes look like at comparable institutions
Documented results from campuses similar to yours in size and sector — not national averages that flatten the differences.
04
Cost, timeline, and approval
What it takes to launch, what your institution would commit, and what the internal approval path usually looks like.

Who should join

Bring whoever owns the outcome

If you can approve it

Directors of Student Activities and Leadership, Deans of Students, and VPs of Student Affairs usually lead these conversations. We will get to cost, timeline, and approval in the same call.

If you saw the need first

Career services, student success, advising, and retention staff are often the ones who notice the gap. Book anyway — we will give you what you need to make the case internally.

If you already have a chapter

This form is for new chapters. If your campus already hosts one and you want to strengthen it, start with how the program runs and we will route you to your success team.

Before you book

Look at the evidence first, if you would rather

Nothing here is gated. Read the outcomes and decide whether a conversation is worth your time.

Questions administrators ask

How long is the walkthrough?

Twenty minutes. It is a conversation about your campus, not a slide presentation, and you will leave knowing whether this is worth a second conversation.

What does it cost our institution to host a chapter?

It depends on your institution, and the walkthrough covers the specifics for your campus. The NSLS publishes a first-year-free structure with a waiver program available, and chapters are typically self-sustaining after the first year. There is also a discount structure that lets chapters reduce renewal costs over time.

How much of our staff time does this require?

Advisors contribute roughly 10 to 20 hours per semester. Chapters are student-led by design: members drive the programming, and the NSLS provides the curriculum, platform, training, and ongoing support.

We already have an honor society and a leadership program. Why add another?

Many campuses run both, because they do different jobs. Most honor societies recognize achievement that has already happened; this is a structured leadership curriculum with a defined member journey, accredited coursework, and documented outcomes you can report. The walkthrough is a good place to work out whether it duplicates or complements what you already run.

Our institution restricts outside organizations on campus. Is this workable?

Often, yes, but it depends on your policies. Chapters are typically recognized through the same pathway as other student organizations, and some campuses house the program academically instead. Bring your constraints to the call and we will tell you honestly whether there is a fit.

I am not the person who can approve this. Should I still book?

Yes. Many conversations start with a career services, student success, or advising colleague who sees the need first. We can either walk through it with you so you can make the case internally, or include your dean or director in the same conversation.

Will we be added to a mailing list?

Booking a walkthrough is a request for a conversation, not a subscription. You control any follow-up.

Program specifics — cost structure, the waiver and discount programs, advisor commitment, and what is included — are published on the NSLS program overview. Detailed, sourced pages on each are in progress.
